A passion that became
a profession.
It started simply — a deep, almost instinctive love for metal craft. The weight of a well-made coin, the texture of a hand-finished surface, the way light catches a high-relief design. These things captured our attention long before Badgecoins existed.
That fascination turned into a serious study of the craft — the metallurgy, the die-striking process, the chemistry of antique finishing. In the spring of 2014, we took the leap and founded Badgecoins near Shanghai, in Kunshan — a city with deep manufacturing roots and access to world-class tooling.
Over the years, the team grew. So did our capabilities, our client base, and our understanding of what a challenge coin means to the people who carry one. A unit coin isn't just metal — it's a piece of shared history. A retirement coin carries a career's worth of service. A collector piece represents something someone truly cares about.
We've never forgotten that. Every order we take, from a single sample to a run of thousands, gets the same attention to detail.
